About Me
I studied and worked in art and architecture before becoming an editor. My professional background gives me a unique set of skills for working with writers. If your writing involves directions (cooking, crafting) or navigating a built environment (art, architecture), I can make sure your ideas are easy to follow and enjoyable to read.
But that’s not all. I’ve found that my combined skillset helps me work with authors in a broad range of writing genres. Structure, navigation, storytelling—am I talking architecture or writing? Exactly.
I’ve worked on cookbooks, crafting books, historical fiction, illustrated books, memoirs, middle-grade fiction, novels, sci-fi, travelogues, and more.
I love reading. The reader’s experience is active and creative. Yes, creative. Readers take the author’s writing and build the worlds the author has imagined. As your editor I can help make sure it works beautifully, just like that. From your mind to theirs. I will support the author-reader relationship with respect for your voice and for the reader’s experience. Isn’t writing amazing!
